Phocalux is owned by three shareholders with extensive business experience. All three are well-versed in the sealing industry and bring considerable knowledge to the management team. The corporate structure of the company encompasses the expertise from harvesting, marketing of finished products to the food industry and high-end clothing industry.

Bernie Halloran

President and CEO

Mr. Halloran has been working in the secondary processing of furs and seal skins into luxury garments, boots, purses and other items for over 40 years. He has shown a relentless dedication and is well-known in Canada for his knowledge and passion of the sealing industry.

Brad Rideout

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Rideout is a successful businessman and fisherman from Roberts Arm. His first-hand and intricate knowledge of the sealing industry is a valuable asset to the success of Phocalux.

Zhang Chi-guang

Director/Shareholder

Mr. Zhang is a successful businessman and brings a great commitment and dedication to the company. Mr. Zhang oversees all operations in China.

Natasha Rideout

Operations Manager

Ms. Rideout has been with the company since inception and has considerable knowledge of all aspects of the plant operations in Fleur de Lys. Ms. Rideout is also responsible for ensuring that food products produced at the plant meet Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) requirements and the building facility in Fleur de Lys is maintained in accordance with CFIA standards.

Phocalux International Inc. (Phocalux) began operating in April of 2015 and operates in Fleur de Lys, Newfoundland in Labrador. The company headquarters is located in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.
